Description
The Tiger-Taming Arhat sits on a cloud-borne rock with a pale halo, a blue robe open at the chest, while a tiger crouches below licking its paw. Color is used sparingly against swirling green mist. The subject belongs to the traditional set of eighteen luohan; Wu paints it as a vivid, slightly folk-inflected hanging scroll.
