Description
Two quails nestle quietly among flowers and ripe red fruits, their feathers rendered in meticulous detail from light gray to deep brown. The cool blue-green foliage creates a striking color contrast with the warm-toned fruits. The inscription 'Peaceful Living' (起居平安) carries an auspicious blessing. In Chinese, 'quail' (鵪鶉) sounds similar to 'peace' (安), making the pairing of bird and phrase a traditional visual pun conveying wishes for a safe, harmonious life.
