In this second work from the "Mountains and Seas" series, deep blue waters meet towering cliffs crowned with lush greenery, as ink and color merge to build a scene of contemplative beauty. The composition balances the vastness of the ocean with the intimate detail of cliff-side pines, their resilient forms standing as sentinels between sea and sky. The work draws on the mythic Chinese tradition of imagining mountains and seas as interconnected realms of wonder. Part of a four-painting series.
