After Shi Tao's originals, this intimate scene shows two arhats in discourse, one seated on a rock, the other leaning in with engaged attention. Their expressive gestures and focused gazes suggest an exchange of deep spiritual understanding, a transmission of insight beyond words. The carefully rendered rock textures and detailed robes anchor the ethereal subject in tactile reality, while the quiet, uncluttered setting keeps the viewer's focus on the connection between the two figures. Part of a series of eight arhat paintings.
