Wang Chunjiang (b. 1955)

王春江

Wang Chunjiang, also known by pen names such as Lazy Wang Laochun, Laochun, and Qiantang Half-Guest, was born in 1955 in Huantai County, Shandong Province, China. He graduated from Shandong Art Institute and completed the second term of the Chinese Painting Masters' Advanced Studies Program at the Chinese National Academy of Arts in 2000. Wang was among the first visiting scholars at the Chinese National Academy of Arts. He is a representative artist of the New Literati Painting school in China, a researcher at the Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute of the Ministry of Culture, a National First-Class Artist, and a Senior Painter at the Shandong Painting Academy.
